In the meantime, to make myself feel better about failing, you guessed it- I bought new patterns!
Today I picked up Simplicity 2337. Love this! I have to make that red dress. I even have some red linen that I've been dying to use! I love the V-neck version with the draped front, too, but I don't think that one is exactly "work appropriate." (That neckline would make Burda proud!) The little stand-up collar version is cute, though. I could totally work that at the office.
And because I have been obsessing about making a military jacket, and this one is TDF, I bought Simplicity 2341. I am drooling over view D (the blue one) and I really like view C (the green one) too.

Where IS that dang BS???
I love that military jack, but alas, I'm not buying any more patterns (unless they're vintage and in my size of course, haha).
That red dress is SO YOU.
Good for you. Buying more patterns, that is. The more I get behind, the more projects I dream up to start. I'm beginning to think I get as much pleasure out of dreaming up things and planning them than I do actually completing them. Good thing!
I was starting to think that my postman was holding my Burda Style. He knows that I have projects to finish and can't sew until I've gone through the magazine several times. Soo..there's someone else out there like me. When I get behind, I usually buy more patterns (Storage is getting to be a problem!). I like your new patterns! It looks like you'll have time to finish your Sew-As-You-Go projects before the new Burda Style arrives.
I have been sewing longer than you have been alive, but try as I might, I can't figure out what "Sew-As-You-Go" is. I think I must have missed something in an earlier blog. Please explain.
Hi, Vickie! Sew-As-You-Go is just my goofy name for my fall sewing "plan." I talked about it a few posts back. Basically, instead of making a full-blown wardrobe plan, which I will never finish, I decided to start with one outfit in July and then add one more coordinating piece each month until the end of the year. Of course, I'm already behind, so we'll see how the plan works out...
Crushing on the jacket for sure!
