I just need to choose buttons and put them on. I'm really feeling some anxiety over this one. It's taken me forever to finish it and now it's September 1st- sundress days are pretty much over. Luckily I had planned for the Princess to wear this dress to school over a plain white t-shirt, so that will extend the wearing time on it, but I'm afraid this dress won't see much use. I'm pretty sure it will be too short by next spring.
Oh, well. It was a fun dress to make, and the Princess will get to enjoy it for a little while. Stay tuned for pictures of the finally finished dress.

Ooh, I LOVE the daisies!! What stitch is that? I'm too lazy to go dig mine out! :D I really like it in pink, too.
Your smocking is beautiful! Love the hot pink gingham. Your daisies are awesome. Can't wait to see it finished.
Beautiful dress...put a little white blouse or turtleneck under it and enjoy it a little longer! Mary
I love the colors and the details. I wish I had had a mom like you. I had a grandma who made us dresses but she made the elastic in the sleeves so tight, it would leave little crinkles in our arms. You are incredible!
I'm with "sewfast", but a white long sleeved shirt under it and wear it thru the fall. I think Pink is a fall color. You did an awesome job on it!!!
